Read your buyers’ own words — and the ones your titles miss

What the free Etsy review scan shows

Paste a shop and the free scan reads its most recent public reviews, then hands you six things — the buyer words your titles are missing, the themes buyers keep raising, the complaints that recur, real verbatim quotes, the individual listings your titles under-serve, and the trend since your last check:

Sentiment from the star rating, not an AI guess

We don’t ask a model how a review “feels.” Sentiment comes straight from the star rating a buyer left: 4–5 stars is positive, 3 is mixed, 1–2 is negative. And a complaint is only shown once it recurs across more than one unhappy review, with a critical quote pulled word-for-word — so what you read is what your buyers actually said, not what an algorithm inferred.

Analyze a competitor’s reviews (Pro)

Competitor mode reads any rival shop’s public reviews the same way it reads yours — their buyer themes, their recurring complaints, and the words their titles under-serve. Every complaint their buyers keep raising is a keyword or an angle you can own. We only ever read public review pages; there’s no private data and nothing to connect. More on the method in how to analyze your Etsy competitors’ reviews.

How many reviews we read — and why not all of them

We read the most recent public reviews — a recent sample, not a shop’s entire history. That keeps the read fast and, more importantly, keeps the picture current: the words buyers use today matter more than the ones they used three years ago. Percentages stay hidden until a shop has enough written reviews to be reliable, and running the same shop again shows you what’s changed since last time.

Review checker vs review analyzer vs review scraper

People search all three, and they mean different things. A review scraper dumps the raw reviews into a CSV for you to sort out yourself — that’s not what this is. A review checker usually tells a shopper whether a shop looks trustworthy. A review analyzer — this — turns a seller’s reviews into the buyer keywords, themes and complaints you can act on, and shows which of those words your titles miss.

Do reviews affect Etsy search?

Etsy says its search takes a holistic view of your listing — including title, tags, attributes, descriptions, first photo and reviews — and counts a shop’s average review rating from the past three months as a ranking factor. So the words in your reviews work twice: as a signal Etsy already weighs, and as keywords you can move straight into your titles. Frequently asked questions

Is this a free Etsy review analyzer?

Yes. Review Intelligence is a free Etsy review analyzer: paste any public shop URL and scan its reviews with no login and no card. The free scan shows how many buyer phrases your titles are missing, the top few of those phrases, and a real review quote. The full report — every missing keyword, all buyer themes with charts and quotes, and one-click listing regeneration from your buyers' words — is on the paid plans, from $9/month.

How does it find keywords my titles are missing?

We read your shop’s public reviews, pull out the product words buyers actually write, and compare them against your listing titles. The words that appear in reviews but not in your titles are your gaps. Every keyword and every quote is a literal, word-for-word match from a real review — nothing is AI-invented or paraphrased.

Do you use the Etsy API or need access to my shop?

No. We read only the public reviews on your shop page — the same ones any shopper can see — so there is nothing to connect and no Etsy login to give.

Can I analyze a competitor's Etsy reviews?

Yes. Competitor mode reads any rival shop’s public reviews, so you can see what their buyers complain about — and every complaint is a keyword or angle you can own. Competitor mode is a Pro feature.

How many reviews do you read, and is the analysis reliable?

We read the most recent public reviews — a recent sample rather than a shop’s entire history. Percentages are hidden when a shop has too few written reviews, and a quote is only shown when it matches a real review word-for-word, so the report stays honest rather than padded.

Do you invent quotes or keywords?

No. Every quote is a literal, word-for-word match from a real review, and a keyword is only shown when a reviewer actually wrote it. Nothing is paraphrased or model-invented — if we can’t ground it in a real review, we don’t show it. Sentiment comes from the star rating, not an AI guess.

How is this different from using ChatGPT on my reviews?

If you paste reviews into ChatGPT it will often invent quotes, invent percentages, or attach a category word to the wrong listing. Review Intelligence checks every quote against the real review text and every keyword against the words buyers actually used, so the report stays grounded instead of guessed.

What does the full report add over the free scan?

The free scan shows the headline numbers and a few of the missing words. The full report adds every missing keyword, all buyer themes with sentiment and charts, complaints with verbatim quotes, per-listing title gaps, and one-click listing regeneration from your buyers’ own words. It’s included on the paid plans, from $9/month (Starter: 5 analyses/month).

Do reviews affect my Etsy search ranking?

Etsy says its search takes a holistic view of your listing — including the title, tags, attributes, descriptions, first photo and reviews — and that a shop’s average review rating from the past three months is one of the factors in ranking. So the words in your reviews matter twice: as a ranking signal, and as keywords you can add to your titles.

What can I do with the buyer words it finds?

Put them where buyers can find you: in your titles, tags and the first line of your description. From the report you can regenerate any listing with those exact buyer words in one click, so the phrases your shoppers already use end up in the listing they search.
