The extension reads only the Etsy page you have open, the way your browser already does. It does not use the Etsy API, does not access your Etsy account, orders or private stats, and cannot see other shops' real revenue — every ‘revenue’ figure is a labelled estimate from public review counts and prices. Demand comes from Google Trends; competition is the real result count on Etsy. Rank is the position we can see in the top of page 1 — we never claim a position we didn't see. Anonymous keyword and search-grid data improves the shared keyword database (see Privacy).

Is the ListifyAI Chrome extension free?

Do I need an account?
Not for Spy, Shop Analyzer, fees and the badges. For writing, auto-fill, scores, rank, alt text and keyword tools you sign in inside the popup with Google or email; the extension connects to your account by itself — no API key to paste.
Is it allowed by Etsy?
The extension reads the public Etsy page you have open, the same way your browser does, and fills your own listing form when you ask it to. It does not use the Etsy API, does not log into your Etsy account and does not publish anything on its own. It is your responsibility to review what it writes before you hit Etsy’s Publish button.
What permissions does it ask for, and why?
Four: storage (remembers your session and saved keywords), activeTab and scripting (reads the Etsy page you are on and fills your listing form), alarms (a once-a-day anonymous version ping so we can see how many installs are active). It runs only on etsy.com and listifyai.net.
Does it slow Etsy down?
It is a 135 KB extension. Badges are computed from what is already on the page; the only network calls are to listifyai.net when you use a tool or open a listing while signed in.
Does it publish listings for me?
No. Photo → Listing and Auto-fill put the title, description and tags into Etsy’s editor; you add photos, price and variations and press Publish yourself. The bulk Publish-to-Etsy walker does the same one listing at a time.
Where do the search volumes come from?
We do not show search volumes, because Etsy does not publish them. Demand is a Google Trends index (0-100) and competition is the real number of results Etsy returns for the query. Suggestions in the search bar are labelled by their position in Etsy’s own list, not by an invented number.
How accurate is the rank checker?
It fetches the live Etsy results for your keyword and reports the position we can actually see in the top of page 1, with ads marked. If your listing is not in that visible top, it says so instead of guessing a number. Deep Check reads the full grid from your own browser.
Does it work on Firefox, Edge or Safari?
Chrome only (Manifest V3). Chromium browsers such as Edge or Brave can usually install Chrome Web Store extensions, but we test on Chrome.
How do I uninstall it?
Open chrome://extensions, find ListifyAI and click Remove. Your ListifyAI account and listings stay untouched. If something did not work, the page that opens on uninstall has a two-line form — tell us and we will fix it.
