Etsy selling happens on Etsy, not in a dashboard — which is why a good Chrome extension, sitting right on the listing and search pages you already have open, saves more time than any web app. But the category is noisy, half the round-ups still list tools that shut down years ago, and almost none tell you what each extension actually reads versus what it quietly estimates. So we installed the current ones, checked their real Web Store user counts and ratings in September 2026, and ranked them by what they do on the page — not by marketing. One split runs through the whole list: most of these show you data, and exactly one also writes the listing for you.
The short version
- Most Etsy extensions overlay research data; only one on this list also writes the listing and fills Etsy’s form.
- User count measures how long a tool has been promoted, not how good it is — read it alongside what the tool actually does.
- EverBee and Alura are the mature research standards; eRank overlays keyword stats free with a free account.
- Every ‘revenue’ number any extension shows is an estimate from public reviews and prices, not real shop earnings.
- Roketfy, the old Sale Samurai listing and Koalanda should not be on a 2026 list — two are stale and one ships no extension.
01How we ranked them
Four things decided the order, and install count was the least of them. First, what the extension does on the Etsy page: does it only show data, or does it also help you act? Second, what works free and without an account, because a tool you must sign up for before it does anything is a worse first install. Third, how honest the numbers are — every extension here shows ‘revenue’ or ‘volume’ figures that are estimates, and the good ones say so. Fourth, whether it is still maintained: we checked the last Web Store update on each. User counts and ratings are quoted from the Chrome Web Store as of September 2026; treat a big number as a sign a tool has been around and promoted, not proof it is the right one for you.
→ get the free 16-tool ListifyAI extension
ListifyAI’s extension is free and its Competitor Spy, Shop Analyzer and Fee Calculator work with no account at all — install it, open any Etsy listing, and you can read a shop before you sign in for anything. See the 16 tools.
021. ListifyAI — the one that writes the listing (free, 16 tools)
ListifyAI is the newest and smallest on this list by install count, updated September 2026 — and it is the only one built to write the listing instead of only researching it. On any Etsy listing it shows an Optimization Score, a Tag Analyzer that flags the tags top competitors use that you are missing, a Fee Calculator and an honest Rank check (your real position in the visible top of page 1, ads marked) — plus Deep Check, which reads the full page-1 grid from your own browser. Sign in free and the popup writes a full listing from one product photo — title, 13 tags, description — and auto-fills Etsy’s editor, plus alt text from the actual image. Competitor Spy, Shop Analyzer and the Fee Calculator need no account. Free plan, no card; paid from $9/mo. If your bottleneck is writing listings, not finding keywords, this is the one to install first. See the 16 tools.
032. EverBee — the product-research standard (200,000 users, 4.7★)
EverBee is the most installed Etsy extension for a reason: it puts sales and revenue estimates on every listing and search page, backed by a large listings database and a deep tutorial library, so it is excellent for validating a niche before you make anything. The catch is honesty about those estimates — they are modelled from public signals, and recent reviews call them inaccurate on individual listings, so treat them as direction, not truth. The free tier is limited and the useful research sits on paid plans. EverBee tells you what sells; it does not write or optimise the listing. Many sellers pair it with a writing tool. ListifyAI vs EverBee.
043. Alura — all-in-one research (100,000 users, 4.3★)
Alura bundles product research, keyword tracking and shop analytics into one panel with a mature help centre and video library, which makes it a comfortable base for sellers who want research and light shop management together. Two honest catches from 2026 reviews: a redesign confused some long-time users, and its revenue figures ignore discounts, so they read high. Like EverBee, Alura is a research tool — it points you at keywords and niches but leaves the writing to you. It is a strong pick if you want breadth in one subscription and do not mind writing your own copy. ListifyAI vs Alura.
054. eRank — keyword stats on the page (40,000 users, 3.7★)
eRank is the keyword-research standard, and its extension overlays keyword stats and 15-month trends directly on Etsy and Amazon pages — free, as long as you hold a free eRank account. For low-cost keyword data it is hard to beat. The rating is the lowest of the big three for a reason: reviews report session-expired loops and blank panels, and most of the richer data still needs a paid eRank plan. As a keyword overlay it earns its place; as a listing tool it does nothing, because that was never its job. Pair it with a writer. ListifyAI vs eRank, or a free eRank alternative.
065. EHunt — rank tool plus a free tags tool (100,000 users, 4.1★)
EHunt (also seen as EtsyHunt) covers rank tracking and product research, and it ships a separate, genuinely free Tags Tool with its own 40,000-user following — a nice on-ramp. The trade-off is a crowded, data-heavy interface, and signing in bounces you to ehunt.ai. It is a capable research suite at a low price if you can live with the density. As with the others in this group, it researches; it does not write the listing.
Seven of these extensions tell you what to do. One of them also does it — writes the title, tags and description from a photo and fills Etsy’s form.
076. CraftSpy — copy a rival’s tags in one click (100,000 users, 5.0★ from 9 ratings)
CraftSpy does one narrow job well: it copies a competitor’s tags and exports their reviews in a click, and it works with no account, which is why it has spread. The 5.0 sits on only nine ratings, so read it as promising rather than proven. If all you want is to lift a rival’s visible tags and skim their reviews, it is quick and free — just know its scope ends there.
087. ListingView — free sales estimates and a profit calculator (10,000 users, 4.4★)
ListingView is a lightweight, free extension that shows sales estimates and a simple profit calculator on listings — a smaller, no-account alternative to EverBee for a quick gut-check on a niche. The team is small and the numbers are estimates only, so it is best as a fast second opinion rather than your main research tool. No writing features, but nothing here pretends otherwise.
098. ListsGenie — the other photo-to-listing tool (124 users)
ListsGenie is the closest thing to ListifyAI on this list: it turns a product photo into a listing injected straight into Etsy’s form, in ten languages. It is worth knowing about if multilingual output is your priority. The honest catches: a 7-day trial then $11.99+/month with no free plan, and no research or scoring tools around the generator. If you want photo-to-listing with a permanent free tier and the research and scoring tools alongside it, ListifyAI covers more for less. Compare them.
10Extensions to skip in 2026
Three names keep appearing on stale round-ups and should not. Roketfy has not been updated since May 2024 and the company pivoted away from it — do not install an abandoned extension that reads your Etsy pages. The old Sale Samurai listing was delisted around July 2026 and relaunched under a new ID with a fraction of its former users, so any link to the original is dead. And Koalanda, still cited as a Chrome extension in older lists, does not actually ship one. If a 2026 guide recommends these, it has not been kept current.
11Which one should you install?
Start from your bottleneck. Deciding what to make: EverBee or Alura for research, or ListingView for a free quick-check. Living in keyword data on a budget: eRank’s free overlay. Lifting a rival’s tags fast: CraftSpy. Multilingual photo-to-listing: ListsGenie. But if your real problem is the hour it takes to write each listing — the job every research tool leaves to you — install ListifyAI first: it is free, it scores and checks rank on the page with no account, and once you sign in it writes the listing from a photo and fills Etsy’s form. Most sellers end up running one research extension plus ListifyAI to write, and spend less than one paid research subscription doing it. Get the free extension.
