We cite Etsy's own documentation
When a guide states a rule — a title character limit, the number of tags, how search matches a query — it links the exact Etsy source it came from, usually a Seller Handbook article or a help.etsy.com page, often with the article number. You should never have to take our word for a limit; you can open Etsy's page and read it yourself. If Etsy's documentation does not say something, we do not present it as a rule.
We never publish invented numbers
Etsy does not publish per-keyword search volumes, and no third-party tool has the real figure — every such number elsewhere is an estimate dressed as a fact. So we do not print search volumes, traffic counts, conversion rates or income figures as if they were measured truth. Where a number is genuinely measured (for example a keyword's relative interest on Google Trends, or a real count of competing Etsy listings), we say exactly what it is and where it came from. Where it would be a guess, we leave it out.
AI assists the writing — under human review
We use our own AI, Kiln, to help draft and structure guides. That is a tool, not an author: every draft is reviewed by a person against the Etsy sources before it is published, and the sourcing and no-invented-numbers rules above are checked at that stage. We would rather tell you AI is involved than have you discover it — disclosure is part of the standard.
We keep guides current as Etsy changes
Etsy revises its own rules — title guidance, policies, listing limits — and advice that was correct a year ago is often wrong today. We monitor Etsy's help and seller-handbook pages and update guides when the underlying rule changes, rather than leaving stale pages up. When a guide has been revised, its content reflects the current rule, not the one it was first written against.
Who writes them, and no paid placements
The guides are written and maintained by the small team behind ListifyAI — the same people building the Etsy tools sellers use every day. That is the authority we claim: practitioners who build for Etsy, not a network of paid guest writers. We do not accept sponsored posts, we do not sell placement in our guides, and affiliate-style comparisons (for example print-provider or tool round-ups) are written without a payout riding on your click, and say so.
Corrections
If you find a claim that no longer matches Etsy's documentation, or a number that reads like a guess, tell us and we will check it against the source and fix it. Getting it right matters more to us than being first. Reach us via the contact page.
